In brief

Start with a crawlable website, accurate company and service information, useful answers, and real evidence. GEO builds on these foundations. Neither technical markup nor a new acronym guarantees a recommendation.

Make the offer understandable

A visitor should be able to identify what you do, who it is for, and how to begin. Give each genuinely different service a page that explains deliverables, the process, relevant proof, and the questions a buyer asks before contacting you.

Avoid dozens of near-identical pages that swap an industry or location into the same paragraph. A smaller set of useful pages is a better place to start.

Connect evidence to the claim

Use real product screens, approved customer comments, and case studies that distinguish the problem, work, and observed outcome. Explain the source and time period of any numerical result.

For AI discovery, publish important facts as readable text alongside relevant images or video. Keep company names, product relationships, and service descriptions consistent.

Check the technical foundations

Review crawl and index access, canonical URLs, mobile usability, broken links, redirects, page titles, image descriptions, and performance. Structured data should describe what the page actually shows.

Google says its AI features do not need special schema or AI text files. Its guidance emphasizes useful, original content and established search practices.

Give every page a sensible next step

A reader learning about support automation may be ready to discuss a support workflow. A founder exploring an incubator needs an application route. Match the action to the page instead of sending everyone to an unrelated signup.

Keep the form short, explain what happens next, and provide an email alternative. Test the actual submission and confirmation before calling the funnel live.

Measure discovery and conversion separately

Use available search reporting for impressions and clicks, referrals for incoming visits, and consent-appropriate analytics for meaningful actions. Track completed inquiries and their quality in the CRM.

AI citations and answer visibility vary by question, location, provider, and time. Record the conditions of any observation and avoid treating a few screenshots as a stable ranking report.
